And last, but certainly not least, Love Grown Foods granola.

Love Grown Foods was started by Maddy & Alex, a couple who met while attending the University of Denver.  What draws me to Love Grown Foods, besides the delicious product, is that Maddy and Alex have created more than a healthy food company, they have created a movement.  The Love Grown Foods lifestyle says,

“Live Free. To be healthy is to live free. You are in control of your health…We believe that health is balance. In order to be healthy, find things that keep you active but that you also enjoy doing! Turn off your TV and LIVE FREE!”

I had the chance to meet Maddy yesterday as they were in Dallas on the last leg of their bus tour spreading the love across Texas.  She was so endearing and kind, I could have spent the whole day with her.  She was generous to give me a variety of all of their delicious granola for a brunch-time meeting yesterday at lululemon.

The granola was a big hit with everyone, and eaten with yogurt, fruit, milk, or just straight from the bag.  We sampled every flavor, and each was unique, fresh and flavorful without being overly sweet.  Cocoa Goodness was a favorite.  Surprised?

Then you also won’t be surprised that later in the afternoon, I couldn’t resist having more of the Cocoa Goodness with my afternoon apple snack.

Click here for locations where Love Grown Foods granola is currently sold.

You can get involved with Love Grown Foods on Facebook and Twitter.

This granola will be making an appearance in my kitchen, and on the blog, frequently.  I also wanted to note that all varieties of granola are made with certified gluten-free oats, for anyone who eats a gluten-free diet or has an intolerance to it.

What are some things that you love from this past weekend?

Are you a fan of granola?  Do you like it plain?  With dried fruit or nuts?

I love granola.  My favorite varieties are honey or agave-based (as opposed to maple syrup), so Love Grown Foods has me covered there.

What’s your favorite springtime flower?

I’m loving the daffodils.  They are everywhere in our neighborhood.  I also love tulips.

I’m off to run 9 granola-fueled miles.

I loooove granola…way too much. I rarely buy it because I have zero sense of portion control with it. That being said, I like mine relatively plain, with maybe some chocolate chips or PB flavor thrown in!

I hear ya! There’s something about the crunchy goodness that makes it hard to stop. Love mine with chocolate chips and dried cranberries.

Aww, so glad you got to meet Maddy. She’s amazing!! I’m currently addicted to “simply oats!” Your stock of kombucha is awesome. :)

She is absolute sunshine! I wish I could have hung out with her all day. There’s a place near my parents’ house that has Kombucha for $1 cheaper per bottle than Whole Foods, so it’s worth it to stock up. :)

I would like to live in that LOVE van with your stash of kombucha. :)
I LOVE granola. I haven’t been eating much of it lately, though. I like the chocolate varieties most of all. Shocking, I know. ;)

I loved having some free time to devote to a good friend. I also really enjoyed a new local artist’s performance so much!

We have tulips outside of our house and I just told Ryan how excited I am that soon I get to start waiting patiently daily for them to pop up!

My stash of Kombucha makes me so happy. I stock up when I go to Natural Grocers because each bottle is $1 less than Whole Foods – still pretty pricey, though!

The local artist bearded man. :)

I love tulips – they remind me of Easter.

You can come over and have a Kombucha party sometime. :)

I saw the most beautiful pink and white flowers along the Katy Trail this morning – LOVE them! Just tiny little blossoms.

Hope to see you later this week…xo

I love dried fruit in mine, too! Cranberries and cherries, please. You ARE my daffodil, sweet girl. Billy has started to give me a weekly mango allowance. $5.99 for those packs from Whole Foods and I can eat all 6 servings in an afternoon. No biggie. :)

1. I loved attending Casino Night, hosted by the law school, this weekend where I danced the night away! Sadly, I barely got to gamble because they closed the tables shortly after I arrived :(
I also loved watching the Academy Awards with my boyfriend & laughing about how little he knows about movies/celebs. Poor guy only guessed two of the winning categories correctly haha
2. I do love granola.. all varieties! Some of my favs tho include almond slivers & cranberries.
3. Tulips are my fav spring flower. Actually, when I was growing up we would always go to Dallas for Easter because my aunt & uncle threw a HUGE Easter egg hunt for the neighborhood, and I remember there being so many tulips in bloom.

Thanks Dorry for reminding me of the things I love in life :)

Sounds like a fun party! I love getting dressed up every now and then for a themed party. Billy and I actually watched all 10 movies up for best picture, but I’m not as good at guessing the winners as he is. :)

Tulips remind me of Easter, too! Such awesome memories.

thanks for the spring time photos – i am sooo looking forward to the change in season. it is still a bit early up here, but maybe in 3-4 weeks the “smell” of spring will be in the air!

It was a challenging run! I’m going to post details about it tomorrow. Making your own granola is a great idea since you can control just how much sweetener (honey/maple syrup/agave, etc) you put in. I love cereal, too. Billy and I go through a lot of boxes. I hope you get a glimpse of spring soon!

Many of your spring time loves are my spring time loves! If only Spring would hurry up over here… Its still quite cold and rainy.
Also – Love grown foods just sent me some samples and I am so excited to try it out! My excitement literally just tripled knowing that you endorse their granola and have actually met the owners!

I really love this granola. Great texture – chunks with dried fruit & nuts – yum! And like I said in the post, not too sweet. Maddy is incredible – she has an inspirational outlook on life and she’s incredible loving and easy to be around. :)

Your Kombucha stash!!! I am jealous.
Have you tied to do your own?
I’m trying…my first attempt failed because…I admit… I tried to omit the sugar. (Sigh)
I’m considering just ordering from the internet.
But you should probably just drive to Mrs. Lindsey Cotter and get some of her cultures…it would be afun trip to Austin!
