I will approach everyone I see with this attitude:

I will let go of at least one thing that is weighing me down:

I will be thankful for the sunshine despite 40+ days of 100+ degree temps.

And I will eat this green salad of goodness again as part of today’s lunch because it was so good yesterday, even in Tupperware!
Cucumber, celery, edamame, avocado, lime juice, pepper, nutritional yeast.

What will you do today?

Today I finish up as much business/cleaning as possible because tomorrow the kids come home and ALL I want to do is soak them up.
Mmm, look at that gorgeous green salad!
I love the first attitude – this is SO very true and I wish more people would realize that.
and the second one? I just saw that somewhere a couple days ago!!
STILL (and always) on the same wavelength… <3 <3 have a day as beautiful as you, Dor!
oh and today I am smiling at everyone!
I’ve been out and about since 5:30 this morning, and it Smelled Like October today… it made me so happy and I saw that people would smile back.
smiles are the theme for today.
I like what October smells like…
Kris! Edamame always makes me think of you from your best lunch ever quinoa salad with edamame and marcona almonds! Glad we’re still on the same wavelength. Makes my day. xoxo
truly makes mine too. XO
I will embrace today as a gift and make the most of it – especially knowing that I’m thisclose to some time off and away from the office which means the next few days will be even more of a gift than today.
i am enjoying the most karmically positive day…it’s sending shivers up my spine!
in 10 minutes i am off to a yoga class!
it’s sunny out, i got positive job news, i had a kick-ass run this morning, i’m meeting my mom for a shopping outing this aft, working the eve shift tonight…and smiling the whole time.
i love the two phrases which open your blog post today, dorry. awesome. i hope YOU are having a wonderful day, too.
I will try to live in the moment and stop focusing on big picture things!!
Also, I will get a mani/pedi, which will help
as a first time comment-er but avid reader I want to thank you for this post. I’ve learned to let a lot that was weighing me down go, and I’m learning to fly. But I’m also learning that I can fly higher. And higher. The journey never ends, so when I think I’ve reached my highest altitude, I must keep going and keep letting go!
Have a great day!
love you sweet friend! DOrry is such an inspiration to us all. She is uplifting and so are you! Don’t let anyone or anything way you down.
Thank you for this amazing comment, Rebecca! Means so much to me. And I couldn’t agree more with you – we have no limits to what we can do in life. It’s pretty cool to have a network of people that can remind us of that. Hope you had a great day, too!
Today, I will let the positive thought prevail over the negative. That is from my lululemon bag and it reminds me that the brain can only hold one thought at a time.
Yay! The lululemon manifesto is alive and kickin’!
It really is full of some of the greatest truths out there. Hope all is well, sweet Annelies!
Love this post. Today I will attend beach yoga for the first time. I will greet my husband at the door with a hug and kiss, since he does the same for me. I will not complain that I can feel the fall weather in the air and that our summer in Chicago was too short.
Beach yoga sounds amazing. And I’ll trade weather with you! Haha. I love Chicago so much. Hope to visit sometime soon!
Oooo…that salad looks creamy and delish! May have to give it a whirl!
The avocado and lime juice makes a perfect creamy sort of dressing for the whole thing. Delicious for sure!
i’m gonna follow in your footsteps! Be kind, Be sweet, be “light”!
Love this! And that salad!! I’m going to face the day with positivity even though my boss is out (which sometimes stresses me out) and just get ‘er done!
Once again – love this! I love your outlook on life. Always trying to find the positive but recognizing that life isn’t perfect. It’s what you make of it though. Today I had a treadmill run b/c of our weather and I tried to enjoy the positive of it – great view from the 29th floor of the gym, and intervals so it went quickly
I’ve been loving the treadmill lately for speedwork and hills because it’s so hot outside! But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for the fall temps for some great outdoor runs…
I’m making that green salad tonight! Looks and sounds delicious!!!
I hope you liked it! It’s a great combo.
Gosh — that first one struck a chord.
A woman behind me in the grocery store was so ..SO rude to me and I was feeling snarky and so I behaved …let’s just say “less-than.” I actually surprised myself. It was not what Jesus would have done for sure and I felt so convicted.
Now I read this, lesson learned.
By being more kind I might have made such an impact. Instead her negativity and nastiness infected me and didn’t help her any.
Let a lot of info sink in and try to relax. Thanks for the reminder
I love that first quote and that green salad combo.
I’m going to try to purposeful and focused in what I do at work and when I get home. Time just seems to slip away a little too quickly lately.
I love that “be kind” quote so much – I saw something similar on Pinterest, and have read that expression before, and find it so beautiful, powerful and true! This was a lovely thought-provoking post…today I am going to make that avocado salad you have one here, lol!
And I am going to practice gratitude for my Kiwi and friends <3 xyx
