I was walking outside to get some fresh air earlier this week, and of course I noticed all of the gorgeous spring flowers blooming.
but to me, the best part of this garden is the row of dirt. it’s literally an empty space to create something beautiful. and figuratively, we have rows of dirt in our lives as well. sometimes we just need to do a little spring cleaning to find them.

food for thought:
- the 4 things runners need to do every week – injury prevention tips
- 10 superfoods for busy people – familiar foods, easy to procure
- superfood: cinnamon – I go through cinnamon at lightning speed, mostly used in my morning oats and with sliced or diced apples.
- 44 healthy foods under $1 – 44 is my favorite #, so this post won me over right away. included on the list: oats, eggs, lentils, bananas, sweet potatoes.
*edited to add – my smoothie recipe was featured on the lululemon blog:
are you celebrating St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow?
St. Patrick’s Day is widely celebrated in Dallas with a 5K race, parade, concert, etc. (last year’s recap post.) I’ll be working part of the day, then joining Billy at a friend’s party in the afternoon. I need to find something green to wear.
is there an area in your life where you can make some space to create?
