I’ve been running a lot lately. not necessarily long distances, but frequently. you see, I love to run. running just to run. for time alone, and for a connection to the community. to clear my head, and to think really hard. running because I can.
for the endorphins.
to get lost in a daydream.
to focus on my breathing.
to take in the beauty of my running route.
to feel alive, and therefore grateful.
I don’t run with a Garmin.
I don’t run with music.
running just to run is one of my favorite parts to any given day.
training for races, setting goals, pushing the limits – all incredibly inspiring. however you choose to run, just do it for you. your body, your life, your schedule, your goals.

run somewhere. up the stairs, down the hall, with a friend, to the bar. run for someone who can’t run. run a block, run a mile, run a marathon. just run.
