for our 1st official 4th of July in NYC, some friends invited us to join a group of about 30 people on a chartered boat that set sail from Chelsea Piers, aka our backyard.
it’s been blazing hot outside so we loved being out on the water with a breeze!
food-wise, there was an abundance of passed appetizers, chips, guacamole, shrimp, mini bruschetta, and later in the evening, a complete fajita buffet.
we sipped on cocktails, visited with friends, and soaked it all in.
the day slowly turned to night…
and before we knew it, the fireworks began, accompanied by our personal entertainment in the form of a group sing-along and ridiculous amounts of patriotism.
watching the fireworks from the water was a fantastic experience, especially with the Freedom Tower in the background (on the left side of the photos).
after the fireworks show, an energetic dance party commenced with Billy on the mic. he is quite the emcee, and I’m pretty sure there are plenty of photos and videos which will likely surface soon. definitely a 4th of July to remember!
did you do anything fun for the 4th?
