American Gypsies

July 13, 2012

last night we attended the premiere screening for a reality TV show called American Gypsies. the show premieres on TV next Tuesday, July 17th on Nat Geo.

the screening took place at The Hammerstein, and we got the invite from our friend Frank who was part of the production team.

the shows documents the lives of the Johns family, and emphasizes the Romani (Gypsy) culture and traditions. they reside here in NYC.

after the screening, the curtains opened up to reveal a big party with beer, wine, and tons of food from tacos, pizza, and burgers with fries to mac & cheese and cookies.

the people watching was pretty incredible. being new to the city, we’re up for just about anything, and I love that we can share these random experiences with friends.

are you a big fan of reality TV?

I don’t watch very much TV in general, but I’m a still a sucker for The Bachelorette.

any fun plans this weekend?

some of our friends from Dallas are making a last minute trip to NYC this weekend, so I’m sure there is more fun to be had…

I’m not a reality fan at all to be honest. I do watch Big Brother, but that’s pretty much it unless I’m bored and run across a Real Housewives marathon LOL. But such a cool event to get to attend!
