good morning! how was your weekend?
I got in a great 5-mile run Friday morning, and after a few hours at work, lunch and a glorious nap with B, our weekend officially started with the Coldplay concert on Friday night. amazing show! they played a perfect mix of old and new. we’d heard many great things from friends since Coldplay toured through Texas earlier this summer.
Saturday was a lazy day before I headed to Brooklyn for a friend’s bridal shower. an amazing spread of food, variety of drinks (vodka for me) and homemade PB&J sandwiches from the bride’s little sis for party favors. summertime party supreme.
I brought black bean salsa with bell peppers and avocado, hummus and crackers.
the hostess lives in an amazing space in Brooklyn. I couldn’t help but snap some shots of the décor – it’s the type of place you see on Pinterest!
Sunday was also lazy, and Billy reminded me that’s more than okay. we did get out for a couple of hours on our bikes to run errands. a stop at the farmers market…
delicious summer squash turned into a dinner dish similar to this.

I LOVE lazy-ish weekends like yours. Good mix of fun, mild productivity (hehe) and socializing. We work so hard, we deserve the down time, right?? PS that space where the shower was held is amazing!!

Perfect weekend!! Bet Coldplay was awesome to see, and the black bean salsa sounds divine. I am trying to channel weekend happiness on this Monday and not be down that it’s over because each day is one day closer to the weekend and each day has its bits of fun in everything we do right??

AHHHH COLDPLAY?!?! I am so incredibly jealous but so happy you two got to go. That house is awesome, tell her to come decorate for me. I love your bike rides together, it makes me want to get on my bike right now. Hope you are having an amazing Monday gorgeous girl!
Geez – look at those beautiful tomatoes!! And I’m totally jealous of your Coldplay concert experience! I missed them when they came through Dallas.
