I am really looking forward to the long holiday weekend, you?
as for our plans, there’s everything from a sushi dinner and dancing with friends or a Yankees game to a biking expedition or a last minute getaway to the Catskills (or a couple of other places!) up for discussion. we’ll see!
text from Billy yesterday that started it all:

I have no doubt we’ll enjoy our time together no matter what we decide to do.
last month I posted about my new goal to tackle a handstand. I have headstands down, but handstands are new territory for me.
after sitting on that goal for a couple of weeks, I actually started to practice about a month ago. I use the wall for support and felt myself improving everyday.

I haven’t mastered the handstand – I need to work on my alignment, but I can stay up longer each day, and it’s a lot fun! my goal date to master my handstand is my birthday, October 3rd.

and the marriage part of the post’s title? well, I was just thinking about how I’m thankful for Billy – he patiently takes photos of me practicing my handstands.
yesterday I said, “what would I do without you?”
and he replied, “well, you’d have to start doing your own laundry.” #spoiled
what are your plans this weekend?

p.s. this is a post I put together for work: How to Make the Most of Your Labor Day Weekend

I haven’t attempted a handstand or even a headstand for that matter since I was in gymnastics as a kid! Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I feel the same way about you and Scott – your love is clear everyday through your big smiles and constant support and dedication to each other. I’m so inspired by your marathon training!
Wow! Good for you!

it sounds like you have a very good setup in the kitchen/cooking department! Billy loves to cook, too. we are spoiled, aren’t we? I’m sure there’s a thing or 2 we do for them.
way to go on the handstand! i could do them before pregnancy and am working on it now too! not there yet. i did get the headstand back fairly quickly. but i still use the wall for both!

that’s so awesome, Marci! I’m totally inspired by women who keep working our through pregnancy and get right back into it (once it’s safe) after giving birth. I hope I have the same experience when Billy and I have babies!
i see dorry in 2016 olympics. Handstands!

Girlfriend, I thought the chick in the purple pants was YOU! I was like “UM, she tackled that goal quickly!!”
But on the other note, so impressive that you can hold it long enough for a picture! I love working on poses at home and finally reaching that “ah-ha…got it!” moment.
