hope everyone had a fab weekend! ours was pretty low-key with the usual: good food, a vodka drink, some bike riding, hanging with friends, and a 6-mile run.
today isn’t a typical Monday for this Bird. today I’m a new student!
here’s the deal:
if you don’t already know, I’m part of the Social Media team at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I started working at IIN back towards the end of May. I love the casual work environment, my co-workers, the great benefits, and my role on the team. Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and blogging are all in a day’s work.
well, I’ve been given the opportunity to enroll in the Health Coach Training Program for September 2012 which officially begins today! I know it will be a great experience for me to go through the program and see the other side of the work we do everyday at IIN. not only will it help me do my current job more thoroughly and effectively, but this is an education I’ll have with me forever. there’s a good chance one day I’ll have my own Health Coaching practice, especially once B and I start having babies.
we have programs that begin throughout the year, but I love that I’m enrolled in the September class since it’s feels like an official “school year”.
I’ll still be working full time so I’m getting geared to focus on my time management and productivity for the next year. if you have any questions about the program, or Integrative Nutrition in general, please send me an email!
anyone else going “back to school” this fall?
when was the last time you were starting a new school year?

I wish you were coming to the conference, too! are you going to live stream it? I bet you’re talking to Nora – she sits near me and I love her.
Hey fellow student!!
Today’s my first day at IIN too
I can’t wait to get into the program and then start working with clients. I’ve put off attending this program for years as I was seeing if it was the right thing for me. Now I’m ready! lol

This is awesome! I just finished up studying and completing 2 different fitness certifications, so I’m taking a break for a little bit. I’ve always wondered about Integrative Nutrition. Maybe some day I will make that leap! I can’t wait to hear about your experience!
