last week I posted about our Labor Day weekend – part 1 and part 2. we rode our bikes over 70 miles up and down a pretty significant mountain. we didn’t really know what we were getting ourselves into – as goes a spontaneous getaway.
at times the ride was more than we had bargained for – coming off a week of running (for me) and wearing backpacks added to the level of difficulty, but we kept at it, stopped when we needed to, and made it a point to acknowledge our surroundings.
we made a wrong turn or two, but we were in it together. we laughed a lot, we cursed the hills, and we looked out for each other when cars were passing.
today is our 2-year marriage anniversary. I am so grateful for a partner who supports me, makes me laugh, helps to put things in perspective, and loves me unconditionally.

EVERY time I go back and look at your wedding post, I cry. Every time. Because how you two got married is exactly the way I’d envision M and me. Small, intimate, NOT traditional. I love that you did it your way, celebrated each other, your parents and Billy’s dad, in such a perfect, simple way. Happy marriage anniversary, this post makes me smile so big.
