Bee

My fiancé husband, Billy (Bee, Husbee), and I got engaged on May 12th. I wrote this post about him. We spend as much time as possible traveling and enjoying the outdoors. I think we’ve probably been on 4 million picnics in the 20 22 months we’ve been together. Last October, we followed our dream to move to an island and set off for the town of San Pedro on the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. We intended to stay for at least 6 months but the sudden loss of Billy’s father in December brought us back to Dallas. Billy loves to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen and he is quite a chef!

Below are photos from early May 2010 on our engagement trip to California. We traveled from Dallas to Napa Valley for a 2 night stay at Calistoga Ranch where he proposed on a sunrise hot air balloon ride! I was completely surprised because he’d done an amazing job of keeping the secret. Then we headed to San Francisco for a night and enjoyed exploring the city with all its spectacular views. The next day we drove down Highway 1 and stopped in Big Sur for a night followed by a visit to the Hearst Castle and a night at a Bed & Breakfast in San Luis Obispo. We spent our last night with good friends in Los Angeles. It was incredible!
