Maybe you are lacking the get up and go you used to have about your health and fitness. Perhaps your workout is boring or your fitness regimen is bland. Or you could have reached your limit and it’s time to add a challenge with a new workout. Taking a new fitness class can help with that, and so can making these few subtle changes.
Drink plenty of water
Drinking water is one of the best ways to replace body fluids after a good workout. It can also help you endure intense workouts a little longer.
Jump rope
Add this activity to burn just as many calories as you would from running. Jumping rope can tone multiple areas of your body. The target areas are quads, calves, abdomen and shoulders. You also get a great cardiovascular workout. This is also an easy workout that can be executed anywhere you have enough time and space.
Eat for energy
Grab a snack before you go to the gym. Do not eat anything heavy. A piece of fruit, granola bar or crackers are simple enough to get you through. Eating a simple snack gives you the energy necessary to make it through a good workout.
Listen to motivating music
Put some pep in your step with body moving music. Make sure you have a powerful workout playlist. Select songs you like and are familiar with that gives you a higher drive. Make sure you choose a device that is easy to handle during your workout.
Take time to relax
After you have put in all the work, just chill. Make sure you set aside time for a relaxing moment to give yourself and your body a break. Taking a break is the best way to prevent burn out. Burn out can cause you to take longer breaks between workouts.
Find a friend
Try to get workout partner who is just as fired up as you are. That energy is contagious and can be good motivation tool. When you have someone there to push you, most times you can go a little further than you would by yourself.
